The Property is built using laterite stones and kota stones for flooring, giving it a very traditional look and feel. The materials used in the construction ensure the guests always enjoy a cool and cozy environment irrespective of the season.
The home stay is pure vegetarian having a very courteous and helpful staff to take care of all your needs.
The rooms are large enough (close to 200 sq ft) to comfortably accommodate 4 people and come with attached bathrooms.
The house is located within the perimeter of the farm, giving an opportunity to the guests to get involved in the farming activities if they so desire
The farm has both local and exotic fruits. The local fruits include Mangoes, Jackfruit, Sapota (Chikoo). Gauva, Custard Apple, Papaya, Carambolla (Star Fruit), Strawberry.
There is also a Polyhouse for growing Orchids and flowers.
The Kundalika river is just couple of kms away and it makes for a good morning or evening stroll by the river side.
The place is surrounded by waterfalls in the rainy season.
The guests have the opportunity to get involved in various farming activities like picking of fruits (Mango, Sapota, Papaya, Strawberry, Passion Fruit) and flowers like Orchids and Gypsophila.
In the night guests (weather permitting) can have a good close look at the stars and planets of the universe. Learn about the different galaxies.
The property is pet friendly.
The Farm has some unique exotic fruits which are hard to find by in this part of the world, giving an opportunity to the visitors of the farm to taste these exotics.
Abiu
A tropical fruit originating in the amazon also found in South East Asian countries like Philippines. It has a creamy and jelly like texture with a taste resembling caramel custard
Egg fruit
Native to Latin America though now grown in other countries. The flesh of the fruit is sweet with a texture often compared to a boiled egg yolk, hence the name egg fruit
Long mulberry
Native to south Asia, now found across the globe, the mulberry fruit is a multiple, about 2–3 centimeters (3⁄4–1+1⁄4 inches) long. Immature fruits are white, green, or pale yellow. The fruit turns from pink to red while ripening, then dark purple or black, and has a sweet flavor when fully ripe.
Mangosteen
Native to southeast Asia (Malay and Borneo), now grown in India as well, the fruit of the mangosteen is sweet and tangy, juicy, somewhat fibrous, with fluid-filled vesicles (like the flesh of citrus fruits), with an inedible, deep reddish-purple colored rind (exocarp) when ripe.
Rambuttan
Native to Southeast Asia now gone global, from the lychee family. The fruit is a round to oval single-seeded drupe, 3–6 cm (rarely to 8 cm) long and 3–4 cm broad, borne in a loose pendant cluster of 10–20 together. The leathery skin is reddish (rarely orange or yellow) and covered with fleshy pliable spines, hence the name, which means 'hairs'. The spines (also known as "spinterns") contribute to the transpiration of the fruit, which can affect the fruit's quality.
Jaboticaba
Native to Latin America found extensively in brazil, the fruit is a thick-skinned berry and typically measures 3–4 cm in diameter. The fruit resembles a slip-skin grape. It has a thick, purple, astringent skin that encases a sweet, white or rosy pink gelatinous flesh. Embedded within the flesh are one to four large seeds, which vary in shape depending on the species.
Avocado (pinkerton)
The pinkerton is a Guatemalan hybrid avocado variety known for its elongated, pear shape, dark green pebbly skin, and creamy, golden-yellow flesh with a small seed.
Purple matoa
Native to pacific and southeast Asia regions, the fruiting process takes 2–3 months and the fruit is green-yellow when developing. They are under developed when the fruit is tough and fleshy. When it is ripe and edible, the fruit will turn red-black in color, and become softer in texture.
Uvalha
Native to Brazil, flowers between the months of august and December, and produces fruit between September and January. The yellow fruit of the plant is called uvalha
Ice cream bean
Native to South America the fruits are longitudinally ribbed, cylindrical indehiscent leguminous pods which can be straight, curved or often spirally twisted up. They are pendant and up to 1 m long and yellowish brown to greenly coloured. The amount of ovoid seeds can vary from 10 to 20, which are purplish-black to olive colored. These are embedded in the sweet, cottony, white arillus which gives it the name icecream bean, since they taste sweet.
Rumdul fruit
Native to Southeast Asia (Malaysia and Thailand), Cambodia’s national flower due to its fragrant flowers. Tempting dark red rumdul fruit when ripe.
Guayas
Native to south and Central America (also known as Spanish lime) the fruit is a round drupe, approximately 2–4 cm (0.79–1.57 in) in diameter, with a thin, brittle, green peel. The bulk of the fruit is made up of the one (or, rarely, two) whitish seeds, which are surrounded by an edible, orange, juicy, gelatinous pulp. There are efforts in Puerto Rico and Florida to produce cultivars with a more favorable flesh-to-seed ratio.
Gaumirim
Native to Latin America, this eugenia species is also called pitanga preta., it is a very beautiful and prolific eugenia which produces sweet fruits without any acidic or astringent taste.
